THE EXCHANGE CEREMONY

CELEBRATE | CONNECT | COMMUNITY | CULTURE

The Exchange Ceremony is an event that will bring together the African, Afro-Caribbean, African American, and Afro-Latino communities to highlight their common heritage and to recognize individuals and organizations working to make our communities better. In addition, this event will reflect upon the 400 years of African American history in the United States, the “Year of Return” as recognized by H.R. 1242 Commission Act, and renew our commitment to strengthening the unity and healing of the African Diaspora in Chicago. The Exchange Ceremony will be a night of healing and unity as it is designed to fully embrace, educate, and understand the ethnicities, cultures, and traditions within The African, Caribbean, African American, Latino, and Central American communities. A platform of African Royalty and the celebration of humanity through culture.

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS

THE EXCHANGE CEREMONY

The Exchange is created to build our communities within the African Diaspora by understanding, healing, and integrating our history and culture. It is a platform set to celebrate who we are as a people collectively. The Exchange Ceremony shall remain a ceremony and an awards night which will be observed yearly to help remember people of the African Diaspora of our foundation, our beauty and our rich culture. We hope that by doing this we can create enough awareness of the strength and greatness of our race and give to give both confidence and hope to the younger generations of the African heritage.
